On February 1, 2026<\/strong>, djskott.com turns 25 years old<\/strong>. Back in the wild-west era (dial-up screams, Winamp skins, rave flyers, burned CDs), this site was basically a digital home base for the whole DJ Skott universe mixes, updates, random scene nonsense, and whatever we were building that week. And the crazy part is\u2026 I never stopped. I just kept evolving. Before streaming was \u201cnormal,\u201d before socials ate the world, I was already chasing the same thing: the vibe<\/strong>. In the mid 90’s that\u2019s how Beats Per Minute<\/em> (BPM)<\/em> got rolling on WHSN 89.3 FM<\/a> in Bangor, Main<\/strong>e. Real-deal radio, dance music loud, building a lane when it wasn\u2019t exactly popular to do it. Then in the early days of web audio and shoutcast life, the mission kept going! Streaming trance and building what became the \u201cBPM\u201d channel vibe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n And now here we are: modern djskott.com, WordPress blog archives, Twitch\/YouTube replays, fresh mixes, and the same stupid smile when the kick lands. Same heart, different tools. Still me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If you wanna time-travel and see the old school versions, hit the Wayback Machine<\/a> and search these: That\u2019s where you\u2019ll find the old snapshots ,different layouts, different eras, different \u201cme\u201d\u2026 same heartbeat. (2007 and 2008 were boring btw coff coff hiatus started)<\/p>\n\n\n\n (And if you\u2019ve never used it, the Wayback Machine<\/a> is literally built for this, punch in the URL, pick a year\/date, and boom you\u2019re back in time.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n If you\u2019ve been around since the early days: thank you.

I didn\u2019t build the first versions alone either.<\/strong> My good friend Tim Ward<\/strong> (DotCom Marketing Group Inc.) took on the original site and version 2<\/strong> as a showcase project for his web design business. Back then it wasn\u2019t just \u201cmake a page\u201d it was like building a whole little universe online. Over the years after that, I kept updating the code myself like some half-caffeinated early-2000s hacker\u2026 copy paste, tweak, break it, fix it, repeat.
