Here’s a mini-set I did on May 5, 2018. I’ve been really busy with work, and family lately. I have been thinking a lot about these mixes, my old radio show on WHSN<\/a>, guest appearances on Interphase <\/a>with DJ Forte<\/a>, and Djing in general. I was having a conversation with a co-worker about DJing in the late 90’s early 2k’s. One party I will never forget, Bubble Fun, I was the opening DJ, as I was about to go on another DJ said he had a gig to go to and asked to swap. I agreed and ended up playing after him. Well the DJ who was up next, was a no show. This was my first multi hour set. I tell you the Energy at the Nile <\/a>was amazing, from 10 to about 1230 It was all me. 3000 kids and I was knocking out the Trance anthems at 145 BPM, POWER TRANCE! Check out some of my old stuff<\/a> (if its not there message me the set and I will send it to you!) to get a taste of my coined power trance. So yeah, I miss DJing on the radio and on stage. You all should know EDC was this weekend in Vegas, looking at videos on YouTube and remembering how parties were when I used to DJ, oh how has it changed! I think to myself I’d love to go, and then I tell myself, why would a 40 year old father go….I doubt i would fit in, My wife is hell to the no no no about EDM and that scene. I don’t blame her, the drug use know is prob the same as back then, same sketchy people, and Im sure there are still the cool kids who arn’t all sketch. Raves were fun, the people were interesting, and the music oh the music….. I will forever love Trance music, and I will continue to make these sets. Be it a mini set or a longer set.
